An American tourist visiting the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo in Italy accidentally broke the pinky finger off of a medieval statue, according to authorities.
The statue, is from the 14th or 15th century, from sculptor Giovanni D’Ambrogio.
Security guards at Museo dell’Opera del Duomo say they spotted a middle-aged man touching the statue .. but couldn't get to him in time to stop him from damagine the piece. All because he was trying to measure the pinky!!
What a bozo. Who doesn't know NO touching anything in a museum?!? Wow, can you imagine the moment the finger hit the floor and all eyes turned on him? How embarrassing for the rest of his group too.
They have filed a police report, no word on if he faces any criminal charges or if he'll have any financial obligation.
