The next time you hear "Freebird" or "Purple Haze" or "Tom Sawyer" . . . don't be shy about shredding the hell out of it on air guitar. You're not being lame . . . you're PRACTICING.
A new study out of England has found that playing AIR GUITAR actually does improve your skills as a guitar player. Of course, if you've never played guitar, it doesn't really matter . . . but if you have played, air guitar can be a good thing.
The study also found singing in the shower can make you a better singer.
Here's why. In both cases, you're not tyring to improve, you're not really thinking about it . . . even though this sounds kinda contrived, you're just feeling the music, man. And that's when creative breakthroughs are most likely to happen.
