The NFL is taking a huge step toward preventing the future use of performance-enhancing drugs.
With NFL training camps kicking off across the country, players will be reportedly be required to provide blood samples during physicals for a study on human growth hormone.
The study will be used to figure out what a "normal" HGH level is for an NFL player.
From that point, the league and the players will have to negotiate how to handle players caught with increased HGH levels.
The next logical step, of course, is to implement testing across the league.
As this crackdown unfolds over the next few seasons, we’ll see if players start getting a bit slower and a bit weaker.
