Jameson Irish Whiskey is sending Kelly Ryan and myself to Dublin,Ireland to be a part of their huge Global Broadcast for St. Patrick's Day. This thing is massive with well over one hundred radio stations from around the world participating. In years past the broadcast included a drink making contest. All the cocktails had to made with Jameson and had to be representative of your home area. So, I thought well we're going to Dublin and Texas has its own Dublin which is famous for making Dr. Pepper. The tie in was a natural. I knew that Hot Dr. Pepper was really good especially on a winter day, so I created the "Dublin Dr. Pepper". Here's how you make it:
Heat up a cup of Dr.Pepper. (I usually nuke it for around two minutes in the microwave...more if it's been in the fridge, and yes Diet Dr. Pepper works too!)
In a coffee mug or better yet an IRISH COFFEE mug pour in a righteous amount of Jameson Irish Whiskey. (An ounce or two according to your taste and whether or not you're planning to drive later)
Pour on the hot Dr. Pepper
Stir
Top with Whipped Cream and a Maraschino Cherry.
Slainte! (That's Irish for "Here's to your health!")
