A few of my favorite sites.
For Pet Owners a Must Read:
www.entirelypets.com/toxicfoods.html - this site will tell you all things toxic for your pets. Some will surprise you, like did you know a grape or raisin can kill your dog?
Check to see if something on the Internet is true or not:
www.truthorfiction.com/ - You know all those e-mails that spread like wildfire but seem a bit too unbelievable?! ie; 'a special new spider that waits to attack you from underneath toilet seats'... or 'watch out for needles on gas pump handles'! Well this site will clue you in as to whether they are Truth or Fiction. I always go there now before forwarding any email to friends that way none of us look foolish :)
www.gardenersnet.com/ - Another must-log-onto site for gardeners. Any query you may have can most likely be answered here.
imdb.com/ - Okay how many times have you been chatting w/someone and either you or they are trying to remember; the name of an actor, what movie they were in, who directed a picture, or even who did the soundtrack. This site will instantaneously answer all those questions and more. Also a great cheat site to prepare for an upcoming game of Scene It!!
Thank our Troops:
www.letssaythanks.com/ Really great way, and super fast too, to say thank you to our troops. Just log on, pick a card to send and a message to include and Xerox will send the card to a soldier absolutely FREE!!! After all it wouldn't be home of the free without the brave; let's thank the troops for thier incredible bravery and show how much we appreciate them and thier sacrifices.
This is hilarious! I laughed through the whole thing .. when the cab drivers buddy calls it really gets good!
I say stolen NOT rescued. And what a horribly cruel thing to do. Not only steal someone's dog, but then to taunt them online and even go so far as to try and lay blame at the owners feet saying the dog was not being taken care of well.
That is NOT a malnutrtioned dog .. you can tell in the video and the picture that was taken the very morning the dog was stolen that is a well cared for dog. Even after a few days of nurturing, a truely unhealthy dog, will still look REALLY bad.
I hope the dog stealer has a quick change of heart and returns this pup before the weekend.
This incredible Christmas Light Display set to music is right in our back yard!
Check out the "Moss Lights" in League City! Mike Moss .. a local guy has put up 80,000 lights synchronized to 9 songs. There is about 400 hrs. of programing and 150 hrs. to set the display up.
Check out all of the videos from his past Christmas displays here: www.MossLights.com
And if you want to drive by and see his awesome work in person ..

According to experts there are lots of changes awaiting taxpayers April 15, 2014.
But it's not too late to do some things this year to save on the upcoming taxes. Now is a great time of year to consider donating to a charity. Just make sure your contributions go to an eligible 501(c)(3) organization so that you can take the deduction.
Many changes are coming thanks to the Affordable Care Act and the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 and some of what we're about to face isn't good.
Some tips they recommend:
Review the limits on your flexible spending accounts.
Put as much money into your 401(k) as you can before the end of the year.
If you're expecting a bonus or year-end income that will push you into a higher bracket, consider deferring that money into next year.

If I was ever going to turn to a life of crime .. this may very well be the type of heist I'd attempt to pull off!
The search is on in Florida for a truck stolen Sunday night that was carrying $120,000 worth of Hershey's chocolate. The driver says he parked the truck for the night at a truck center and it was gone in the morning!
Now I have chocolate on the brain ... a few of my favorite Hollywood 'tributes' to the deliciousness:
I will admit if I ever got lucky enough to land in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory I would never have been able to follow the rules when we got to the Chocolate River. I'd have dove right in!!
