A few of my favorite sites.
For Pet Owners a Must Read:
www.entirelypets.com/toxicfoods.html - this site will tell you all things toxic for your pets. Some will surprise you, like did you know a grape or raisin can kill your dog?
Check to see if something on the Internet is true or not:
www.truthorfiction.com/ - You know all those e-mails that spread like wildfire but seem a bit too unbelievable?! ie; 'a special new spider that waits to attack you from underneath toilet seats'... or 'watch out for needles on gas pump handles'! Well this site will clue you in as to whether they are Truth or Fiction. I always go there now before forwarding any email to friends that way none of us look foolish :)
www.gardenersnet.com/ - Another must-log-onto site for gardeners. Any query you may have can most likely be answered here.
imdb.com/ - Okay how many times have you been chatting w/someone and either you or they are trying to remember; the name of an actor, what movie they were in, who directed a picture, or even who did the soundtrack. This site will instantaneously answer all those questions and more. Also a great cheat site to prepare for an upcoming game of Scene It!!
Thank our Troops:
www.letssaythanks.com/ Really great way, and super fast too, to say thank you to our troops. Just log on, pick a card to send and a message to include and Xerox will send the card to a soldier absolutely FREE!!! After all it wouldn't be home of the free without the brave; let's thank the troops for thier incredible bravery and show how much we appreciate them and thier sacrifices.
Intervention meets prank .. what do you think could something like this be effective?
I had NO idea fiber intake had anything to do with the heart .. only thought it would help our digestive systems.
New study finds more than 80 percent of us are consuming far less than the recommended amount of fiber —and a lot of guys average less than half of the amount needed to keep our hearts healthy.
Researchers reported that compared to people who eat the most fiber, those who ate the least had a much higher rate of heart disease risk factors .. like obesity, chronic inflammation, and metabolic syndrome.
It can be easier than you think to add healthy fiber into your diet .. things like fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains contain a lot of fiber. Whip up a batch of chili .. loaded with tomato, beans, onion .. perfect for this cold weather and great for your heart too!
And hey getting more excersize is always good for the heart too .. let's do some 'Twist & Shout' with The Beatles:
What a fantastic ad by Beneful®.
Ok I'm warning you .. you may NOT want to be drinking or eating when you watch these and you could very likely SCREAM OUT LOUD. So if you're at work .. be prepared!!
Wow you know a commercial is scary when it requires a health warning: "Not for the faint of heart. Please refrain from watching the content if any of the following applies to you: Have any mental or physical health concern and may have to see a doctor regularly."
For my fellow Mad Men watchers you know Don Draper probably wouldn't approve of this bold ad strategy; but Sterling, would be all over it I think. ;)
This ad is the latest in scary TV ads .. comes out of Japan.
But longtime YouTubers you probably remember this German car commercial .. it's wicked scary too .. even though I knew what was coming I still screamed like a sissy girl. HA
According to a report from Fox Sports reporter Jay Glazer, Houston Texans Head Coach Gary Kubiak has been fired. Projected to be one of the top teams in the AFC, the team suffered an 11 loss 2013 season, after last nights defeat to the Jaguars in Jacksonville, 27-20.
Just heard from a Texans member who told me Coach Kubiak has informed coaches he has been let go— Jay Glazer (@JayGlazer) December 6, 2013
I expect Gary Kubiak will be fired today as the coach of the Texans.— Peter King (@SI_PeterKing) December 6, 2013
