Here are a few of my fav sites.
For Pet Owners a Must Read:
www.entirelypets.com/toxicfoods.html - this site will tell you all things toxic for your pets. Some will surprise you, like did you know a grape or raisin can kill your dog?
www.truthorfiction.com/ - You know all those e-mails that spread like wildfire but seem a bit too unbelievable?! ie; 'a special new spider that waits to attack you from underneath toilet seats'... or 'watch out for needles on gas pump handles'! Well this site will clue you in as to whether they are Truth or Fiction. I always go there now before forwarding any email to friends that way none of us look foolish :)
www.gardenersnet.com/ - Another must-log-onto site for gardeners. Any query you may have can most likely be answered here.
imdb.com/ - Okay how many times have you been chatting w/someone and either you or they are trying to remember; the name of an actor, what movie they were in, who directed a picture, or even who did the soundtrack. This site will instantaneously answer all those questions and more. Also a great cheat site to prepare for an upcoming game of Scene It!!
www.letssaythanks.com/ Really great way, and super fast too, to say thank you to our troops. Just log on, pick a card to send and a message to include and Xerox will send the card to a soldier absolutely FREE!!! After all it wouldn't be home of the free without the brave; let's thank the troops for thier incredible bravery and show how much we appreciate them and thier sacrifices.
Alex Hrebin, is a 29 Army Vet who served in Iraq and later Afghanistan .. and on April 21 he set out from Sea Bright, New Jersey, to trek more than 3,000 miles coast to coast in memory of his best friend, Dustin Merunka, who died in a car accident over eight years ago.
Alex says he doesn't have a set route, because that's how his friend would've liked it. "If I see a sign for the world's largest ball of string, I'm not going to miss that," he laughed. "We believed any adventure was a good adventure and a good story to tell,"

A guy was running from the cops in Missouri, and hid in a random building . . . that turned out to be the POLICE HEADQUARTERS!!! And he was literally SPRINTING towards the jail too!! Hahaha
The cops are having a great laugh over it all and sounds like they were right to pull this guy over .. he reaked of alcohol so is probably facing DUI charges as well as fleeing police. No word if there's surveillence video inside the police station ...but if there is and it gets released I'll post that too, bet it's a hoot to watch especially when the dude realizes where he is and turns around to try to run OUT.
The real dog that was mo-capped for this new game is an actual member (retired) of the Navy SEAL K9 squad, who was photographed from every angle in super high res, which accounts for the in-game facial scars and ear tattoo.
The character comes with its own artificial intelligence and seems like it will play a notable role in the game as a true part of the squad, who sniffs out dangers and aids the team .. just like they do in real life as a SEAL.
A Dallas group that started last year is now coming Houston to place flags on veteran's graves for Memorial Day.
Flags for Fallen Vets was created by Bob Fussner, a former marine. Last year his group joined forces with over a thousand volunteers and placed over 26,000 flags at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
Fussner says the tremendous support has allowed them to expand to Houston, this year. So far over 2,400 volunteers have signed up to place the 65,000 flags needed at Houston National Cemetery.
Fussner has a very noble goal to eventually expand so they can cover all five national cemeteries in Texas!!
You can help this effort succeed .. Flags for Fallen Vets is a non-profit that purchases the flags and organizes the volunteers ... If you want to donate or volunteer visit this website.
Come out for Rock The Dock at The Kemah Boardwalk with me tonight from 6-8pm and it's back for every Thursday now through the summer.
Tonight Houston favorites Rat Ranch will take the stage about 6:30 so bring the family or friends out for some great LIVE music and lots of fun.
I'll be driving the Million Mile Honda Accord from John Eagle Honda of Houston so stop by and check it out. We'll be over 737,800 by the time I pull into Kemah this evening!! And it still drives GREAT. That's one of the many reasons I am a John Eagle Honda customer for life .. the best service, laid back atmosphere on the sales floor and true dependability from your ride!!
Here's a little sampling of Rat Ranch:
