Two years ago Mary Beckman met Wade Ridley on match.com. After only 8 days she ended the relationship. Wade didn't take that well and stabbed her with a butcher knife 10 times in the face, beat her in the head with a rock and stomped on her head.

Now Mary is suing match.com saying that they should have warned her of the dangers of online dating.

It is really horrible that this woman almost was killed, but I'm trying to figure out a reason match.com should have warned her about online dating.
If she went to a bar and met a guy and the same thing happened, would she sue the bar for not warning her about meeting guys at bars?

This guy was a real psycho too...while Beckman was in the hospital recovering, Ridley met another woman on the site and killed her before robbing her house. He committed suicide in prison...oh and when he found out Mary was still alive he was shocked...so yeah he meant to kill her.
