Last week, IGGY POP said that THE STOOGES are still putting out new music because that's what REAL BANDS do.  He said, quote, "[Real bands] don't just go and twiddle around on stage to make a bunch of [effing] money . . .

"And then go, 'Oh!  [Recording new music] wouldn't be as good!"

Well apparently, he wouldn't consider JOURNEY a "real band," because that's EXACTLY what they're planning to do:  Coast off their old stuff!

Keyboardist JONATHAN CAIN says, quote, "You know, we're not convinced the market will bear another CD from us.  And it's so much work to make one . . .

"The last album we made . . . kinda wasn't received very well here in the States, and it barely sold 100,000 [copies].  After all that time and money, y'know, what are we doing here?

"So, we have a great catalogue here, right now to play.  We got a lot of songs that we're not even playing.  So, we're like, 'What's the point of makin' a new CD right now?'  If anything, we'll make an EP."

What do you think, should Journey even bother to hit the studio? Would you buy a new album if they put it out?
